GodsDog began as a joke in 2002 and became a screenplay Hollywood found too strange to make.
Read them in sequence. The series is one continuous story told across five volumes, and each ends on a genuine cliffhanger rather than a stopping point.

Monster
The first volume begins the fictional retelling of the dog-headed Saint Christopher, woven into an epic legendary world where angels, giants, dragons, warrior saints, and mysterious monks deal with the consequences of the world's very first relic.
Daniel is narrating from a cave monastery. A pilgrimage is forming for the Holy City. Into it walks something enormous with the head of a dog, and Saint George has to decide whether the thing in front of him is to be killed or tamed. The backstory of Reprobus is deliberately withheld. What the book gives you instead is the shape of his longing.

Warrior

This volume was created by two excellent veteran comic artists: Matt Sheean, whose credits include Black Hammer, Prophet, and Island, and Jesse White.

The third volume continues the legend of the dog-headed Saint Christopher as he descends into exile, prayer and war. As the world fractures between order and chaos, Christopher must learn what it means to carry both the weight of judgment and the promise of redemption.
At 224 pages it is the longest volume so far. Chris Weaver illustrated the interior art, Matt Crotts did the colors and letters, and Cord Nielson returned for the cover.

Trickster and Saint
Two more volumes complete the arc. Trickster is volume four and Saint is the conclusion, both expected over the next couple of years. Titles are confirmed; dates are not.

The Secrets of GodsDog
A sixty-page companion that opens up the creative process. It collects Jonathan’s original sketches, traces the origins of every character, place, and narrative thread, and presents them alongside Cord Nielson’s designs.
It also carries two substantial essays: Jonathan Pageau's three-part study The Meaning of the Dog-Headed St. Christopher, and Matthieu Pageau's The Cherub and the Flaming Sword, a rare piece of his writing outside The Language of Creation.
